 Some people forget that Nyros is a very troubled person. (You would be too if you had a twisted brother like Jaydik.) Nyros often turns to drugs, theft and women to escape the world in which he is haunted, just to try and ease the pain and it doesn't really look like he's had all too good an evening. Could it be that once again Dikky has turned vicious on his younger brother, or has Nyros had to do something pretty rash to get ahold of them smokes? I'll let you use your imagination... I have had this picture in my head for the past couple of years, but have never quite been able to put it onto paper in a way that was satisfactory! I think it's safe to say that Becca's Artrade piece kind of inspired me to have another shot at this, and I love it!  I had a lot of fun with that eerie green and all the little details like Dikky's various books and erm, pickled hearts were fun to work on :3This is named after the song by Pendulum of course! He so could talk to Ares... He also had some drug problems when he was "younger" (you know that he's over 900 years old XD) And sometimes he still takes some cocaine. OK. He never looked that smashed like Nyros does here. Brilliant work, Becca and a big hug for Ny-Ny  --  The gods gave me two hands to draw, two eyes to see it and a mind so freaked up to imagine every shit possible  love the graffiti-ish smoke, and is that a .. heart? x3

A pretty different style piece from the norm too, the inking is more stylzed for things such as the smoke and look at all those funky colours you used aswell  Speaking of, the shading and the green highlighting is amazing here, I like how the picture is dark but also full of colour. Another cool thing in this is how Nyros looks lost in his own world like that...his hair let down and all the drug usage you can really tell he's deep into something. And the smoke! Love how it's blowing out of his nostrils, looks perfect  Hmmm well for crits =SaxGirl1010 basically said alot, ummm but maybe the hands should be bigger here since Nyros has some muscle. Otherwise great work, heh I like how you gave him fingernails - makes him look even more of a junkie! --  In Heaven...everything is fine. I'm in love with the colouring in this! it's dark and dingy and so vibrant too

As I said on the many previews you sent me I LOVE THIS TO BITS! Seriously! And I'm going to guess that he's sat in his brothers lab >_> mainly saying that because I don't think that Nyros is really into the whole hearts-in-jars type thing. His expression looks fantastic, can tell he's high just by looking at those eyes >_> O_O and if he didn't get his shirt torn by trying to get those smokes from someone what the hell happened?! My poor baby TT-TT *clings to him* DAMN does he look sexy with his hair down O_O *wants to stroke it so badly* TT-TT The colouring here is amazing, I love your traditional stuff but I think I like this more than the rest of your gallery because it's so dark. Really like the way that green shines on everything, especially those trousers and the wall O_O how did you do it? Put the green first or last?? It was wonderful to see this peice kinda.. how do you say it.. grow? From the sketch to the inks and then see the pictures of you starting to colour it  And I'm so happy you finally got around to drawing a drugged up picture of him!! Critiques
While I do think this is one of your best works, vision-wise, it falls only a bit short because of a few things you could have done to make it REALLY impressive. By few things I mean some of the details. Just a few things could be tweaked and I think the piece as a whole would be a bit more believable.
The elements work very nicely; there is a great sense of cohesion achieved by your use of green and pink ambient lighting, as well as the graffiti-like smoke and mist. I love that.
However, there are a few issues I have with perspective and spatial objects, like the heart-in-a-jar (the lid doesn't seem round enough to look fully 3D) or some of the beakers on the shelf above Nyros' head. I also think that Nyros left arm appears to be falling on top of the wooden ledge it is resting on - we shouldn't be able to see his arm laying as if it were being looked at from an aerial view. Rather, I think his hand and elbow crease would be closer to each other? It's hard to explain... his arm needs to look more like it's laying on the ledge.
The perspective actually works well, but with a little fine-tuning on the top shelf (make sure it's parallel with the ledge he's resting back on), it would be spectacular. Overall, this comes together quite nicely. You portray a character lost in an addiction, which the environment helps to communicate. Very nicely done.
P.S. The smoke coming from his nose makes me think of a snorting bull!
